Mom’s All Mountain Ride
After my first day riding on the Infinity women’s snowboard made by Never Summer, I too felt like howling at the moon. I found my perfect all around board. I’ve been snowboarding for about 17 years and have needed something that’s more up to date with the technology but that still supports my love for fast riding with a lot of edge control. Until recent years my board of choice has always been straight camber. This is what I learned in the early 90’s and what I’ve always known. In the last few years Rocker Technology has grown in popularity. I’ve tried some of the rocker boards out there but I wasn’t overly impressed. The moment I wanted to bomb down the mountain or get into some more challenging terrain, I didn’t feel safe. I didn’t have the control in my edges that the camber boards encompass. Yeah, sure the rocker board was great for the “doopty- do’s”, buttering or doing tricks in the park, but that’s just not really my riding style. I’m a mom now and I don’t spend most of my day’s ‘huckin-it’ in the park. I do like free-style,but I prefer free-style all over the mountain or 50/50’ing a box or two as I cruise down the hill. The Infinity has it all for me with the Rocker & Camber Technology. The camber is located just outside the bindings and this placement gives me control when I need it. The rocker is located in-between the bindings and in the tip and tail. It’s truly is the best of both worlds.
A few days ago I rode one of my older camber style boards, it was a Burton Custom from a few seasons back. It was great for early season cruiser runs, but I missed the Infinity and having a little bit of rocker that just adds more versatility and fun. The Infinity board is great for all mountain riding but also awesome for riding switch and having a little play time for me. As Never Summer puts it, “it’s the go-anywhere, do-anything choice for women”. Also, with a three year warranty you can trust that the Infinity will last you a few seasons. I definitely recommend this board to all women who like a little bit of everything on the hill. FAMILYSHRED MOM APPROVED!
